This is a customized massage, you will be deciding how you want to spend your massage time and you can choose to get just one area addressed in depth or have a general, de-stressing massage, including aromatherapy treatments.
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.
Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session. A hot epsom salt bath after your massage can also help prevent soreness.
This session includes all the techniques with more time to address any injuries or problem areas.
If you have an injury or problem area and you also want a complete massage I need at least 85 minutes to address everything, I thank you for not having to rush and your body will thank you for taking care of it!
We will have time to be up dated on your current training goals, injuries, address those throroughly and do a complete relax and recharge massage session that increases your immune function, relaxation, injury prevention while decreasing tension and stress.
Plan to eat a light protein snack before this massage (such as a protein bar or some nuts) so you do not end up with low blood sugar after as massage raises your metabolism and also don't dehydrate yourself for fear of needing to go to the bathroom during- you can always use the robe I provide and we can have an intermission-no problem! It is much worse for your body to be dehydrated for a long massage.
